SBI Financial Services has acquired B2C2, a UK-based cryptocurrency trading firm.

According to the firm, this acquisition makes SBI Financial Services, a subsidiary of Japanese group SBI Holdings Inc., has made the company the first major financial firm to own a crypto desk.

Quontic Bank Partners with NYDIG to Offer Bitcoin Reward Cards to Customers

New York-based Quontic Bank has partnered with fintech NYDIG to become the first FDIC-insured financial institution to receive approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to offer bitcoin rewards cards to customers.

With this new programme, customers will get 1.5% back in bitcoin rewards for every debit card transaction.

Binance Begins Issuing Bitcoin Visa Cards to Customers Living in EEA

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that its customers living in the European Economic Area can start ordering their physical Binance Visa Cards for free.

According to a report on crypto company’s website, the card now supports ethereum, will be charges-free until 2021, and customers will enjoy up to 8% cashback on purchases. Also, users can spend up to €8,700 and retrieve up to €290 at ATMs per day.

Banca Generali Acquires $14 Million Stake in Crypto Company Conio

Italian bank Banca Generali has acquired stake worth $14 million in fintech and cryptocurrency services provider Conio.

The agreement will help Banca Generali to utilize the available blockchain technology of Conio to offer Conio’s services to its customers.

According to Gian Maria Mossa, CEO and general manager of Banca Generali, “Under this partnership agreement, Banca Generali will acquire a stake in Conio Inc. to support the company’s growth and the distribution of its products as part of the Bank’s range of digital services offered to its customers.”
