World of Women (WoW) NFT project and crypto metaverse game The Sandbox have partnered to launch the WoW Foundation. The foundation will provide education and mentorship for women who want to become players in Web 3 and the metaverse space.

Through the partnership, the WoW Foundation will receive $25 million in funding spread over five years from Sandbox to support the initiative.

Sandbox’s co-founder and chief operating officer Sebastien Borget said the project aims to train women who will become influential builders in the web 3 and metaverse industry, which are still at their early stages.

“Through facilitating the education and funding of women’s projects we hope these programs help establish a generation of influential women builders in the space,” said Borget.

The foundation will also launch an academy in Sandbox that will grant students a diploma in NFT upon completion of their education on Web 3 and metaverse. Also, there will be a WoW Museum and WoW Academy to provide funding, mentoring, and networking incubators for artists and projects.
