Nakamoto’s Early Involvement with Bitcoin.
Bitcoin was bought into existence by Satoshi Nakamoto on January 9th 2009. Nakamoto mined the first block of Bitcoin, known as block number 0, which rewarded Nakamoto with 50 Bitcoins. Nakamoto worked on the Bitcoin software until 2010. Nakamoto then handed over the lead to Gavin Andresen, a software developer who was involved in developing Bitcoin products of the market. Andresen worked in Bitcoin software development until 2014, when he left the role to focus his efforts on his work with the Bitcoin Foundation, a foundation he’d set up in 2012 to support the development of the bitcoin currency. Nakomoto stopped his direct involvement in Bitcoin at this point in 2010.
It is speculated that Satoshi Nakamoto owns 1 million bitcoins. Bitcoin hit a peak in December 2017, and during this time Nakamoto’s Bitcoin would have been worth around $19 billion. This would have made Nakamoto the 44th richest person in the world at that time.

Many people have tried to work out who the infamous Satoshi Nakamoto is throughout the years. Whenever discussing technical matters, Nakamoto has never disclosed any personal information. Nakamoto has only ever spoken about the Bitcoin software, and also spoken some on banking.
In 2012, Nakamoto has claimed to be a 37-year-old male living in Japan. Many people have spoken about this theory, saying the Bitcoin creator is most unlikely to be Japanese due to his evident grasp on the English language, and also because the Bitcoin software had not been documented in Japanese, but in English. Certain uses of British English spellings and phrases cropping up in source code comments and forum posts led people to believe Nakamoto is British.
