CEO of Twitter and Square Jack Dorsey revealed today that he is now running his own Bitcoin nodes.
Jack Dorsey posted a picture that shows nodes in action and captioned it ‘running Bitcoin.
Nodes are very important in the Bitcoin blockchain because they help in verifying bitcoin transactions and confirming legitimate bitcoin transactions from non-legitimate ones.
Nodes also accept and store transactions made on the Bitcoin network.
Dorsey also revealed that he is running the nodes on Apple’s MI Chip-powered computer when asked by Nodes software provider umbrel on Twitter if he was using the dedicated raspberry PI node. The Apple MI chip has a higher-performing processor that runs the application faster while using less power.
“Starting from a scratch build on MI first.,” he tweeted.
The current price of bitcoin is $37,525.38, climbing up by 0.8% in the last 24 hours. Bitcoin has a current market cap of $646.67B and market volume of $49.96B. In the last 24 hours, bitcoin has dropped to $36,207.49 and experienced a $37,942.15 high. Currently, 18,620,025 bitcoins are in circulation.

Dorsey is a big fan of Bitcoin, and he has been supporting the crypto in many ways. This latest move also affirms that he is dedicated to the growth of Bitcoin.
Dorsey launched Square Crypto, a company that helps with supporting the development of bitcoin. Through Square Crypto, many Bitcoin developers have won grants that help them in their efforts in building and developing different areas of the crypto industry.
Last year October, his company Square bought 4,709 Bitcoin worth $50 million as part of an investment strategy of the company.
