American entertainment company and record label Warner Music Group is making its metaverse debut by partnering with The Sandbox to launch a music-themed LAND and concert venue in the gaming metaverse.
Warner Music Group plans to organize virtual concerts that would allow its musical talents to perform for their global fans virtually on the The Sandbox, a virtual metaverse.
While speaking with Coin Telegraph, the COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget, said the metaverse move will create immersive experiences that allow music artists to connect with their fans. WMG has a-list musical stars such as Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, etc., signed under it.
“We’re shaping The Sandbox as a fun entertainment destination where creators, fans, and players can enjoy first-of-a-kind immersive experiences and be more closely connected to their favorite musical artists through NFTs,” he said.
