Sotheby’s, one of the world’s largest brokers of fine and decorative art, jewellery, and collectibles has organized an NFT auction to raise funds for Sostento, a public health care advocate and nonprofit organization through Sotheby’s metaverse.
Sotheby’s metaverse announced that the NFT auction dubbed Gifted: The 140 Collection, which is said to be the biggest NFT charity auction ever, will auction off 140 collections of NFTs.

Earlier this year, Twitter randomly gifted its followers, known as “Besties”, 7 unique 140 Twitter-themed NFTs. Sotheby’s and 6 other lucky winners were given these NFTs. Now, these 7 besties have come together to sell the complete set of different NFTs to fund Sostento charity work.
The partnership, according to Sosento, is to unlock a new generation of donors from the cryptocurrency and NFT communities.

The auction will be held on Sotheby’s Metaverse and will last for 8 eight from November 22 to 30, 2021.
