The Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection has joined others in the crypto community that is showing support for Ukraine by donating funds to support humanitarian activities and fund the military.

BAYC announced that it has donated $1 million in Ethereum to the embattled Ukrainian government’s official Ethereum wallet address on Tuesday.

The NFT collection added that it was inspired by the level of donation, amounting to almost $1 million, coming from its community members towards Ukraine.

“It’s been inspiring seeing our community come together in support of Ukraine – almost $1m in ETH has been donated to @Ukraine by wallets containing a BAYC ecosystem NFT. Today we’re matching that with a $1m ETH donation of our own,” BAYC tweeted.
