American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers, is partnering with Cash App to give his fans $1 million worth of Bitcoin.

Rodgers announced this in a video on Twitter in his John Wick-inspired Halloween costume on Monday and stated that he will start receiving a portion of his salary in Bitcoin.

According to Rogers, Bitcoin is a new concept and a bit intimidating; that is why he is offering to give away some BTC to his fans to help them have firsthand interaction with the cryptocurrency through their Cash App accounts.

“I believe in Bitcoin & the future is bright. That’s why I’m teaming up with Cash App to take a portion of my salary in bitcoin today,” he tweeted.

In the last 24 hours, bitcoin has been up by 2.12%, with a current price of $63,228.14 as at the time of writing this. Within 24 hours, bitcoin dropped to $60,372.60 low and $63,580.20 high. The trading volume of bitcoin in the last 24 hours is $1.55B. The current market capitalization of bitcoin is $1.19T. Currently, $18.86M bitcoins is in circulation.

To stand a chance of winning some Bitcoin, his fans will have to comment under his post using the hashtag #PaidInBitcoin and their Cash App address, known as a $Cashtag, and follow the official page of the payment service company, @CashApp.
