Technology research and consulting company Gartner has released a report which predicted that 25% of people will spend their time in the metaverse by 2026.

According to the report, people will spend at least one hour daily on the metaverse doing what they usually do in the physical and online world.

“By 2026, 25% of people will spend at least one hour a day in the metaverse for work, shopping, education, social and/or entertainment,” said the report.

 In the last 24 hours, bitcoin has been up by 1.24%, with a current price of $43,199.86 as of the time of writing this. Within 24 hours, bitcoin dropped to $42,654.63 low and $45,488.02 high. The trading volume of bitcoin in the last 24 hours is $1.57B. The current market capitalization of bitcoin is $822.03B. Currently, $18.95M bitcoins are in circulation.

The report also added that 30% of the world’s organizations would have created products and services for the metaverse. Many companies like Adidas, Microsoft, Walmart, etc., are already plugging into the metaverse economy by purchasing virtual lands and filing for metaverse-related trademarks.

The research vice president at Gartner, Marty Resnick, added that “Vendors are already building ways for users to replicate their lives in digital worlds.”

Resnick believes that the transition of businesses into the metaverse in the future will be easier because they will not have to worry about creating their own infrastructure as it will already be available.

“Businesses will not need to create their own infrastructure to do so because the metaverse will provide the framework,” he said.
