A decentralized commerce network, Boson Protocol, plans to launch Boson Portal, a space where decentraland users can buy digital products in the Metaverse and get the physical version in real life.

With this new protocol, it means that a user can buy NFTs and redeem them for a physical version.

Speaking about the merger of physical and NFTs (digital), the co-founder of Boson Protocol, Justin Banon, described the phenomenon to Coin Telegraph as a way of creating a digital twin of a physical product the same way people have a digital replica on their social media pages.

“Now it’s normal for humans to have a digital shadow, such as a Linkedin or Twitter profile. And within the next couple of years, it will also be normal for physical and fashion items to have a digital twin.”
